As the esteemed Engineers of Record, entrusted with the Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical aspects of this visionary project, we collaborated closely with a distinguished external design and construction team, comprising ISM Architects and Bertram Construction (Ontario) Ltd. With meticulous attention to detail, we crafted a building shell that stands on robust concrete foundations, enveloped by insulated concrete forms (ICF) exterior walls. The floors and roof were meticulously constructed using hollowcore slabs, complemented by a refined gypsum leveler on the floors. Elevator shafts were fortified with reinforced concrete Form-Walls, while ICF stair walls exude both strength and elegance. Each suite within The Brix boasts a precast balcony or a serene terrace space, inviting residents to bask in the beauty of their surroundings. The exterior shell of the building showcases an EIFS system, adding a touch of architectural sophistication. Throughout the project, we also provided invaluable support as the Developer's Coordinating Consultant. In this role, we expertly managed the flow of design information, spearheaded design meetings, diligently recorded meeting minutes, and ensured that the vision of the project was flawlessly executed across various disciplines. Our commitment to meticulous coordination leaves no detail overlooked, resulting in a harmonious and seamlessly integrated masterpiece.
